What % insane are you?

[If you are receiving this by email, remember to click on the title to go to the whole piece on the blog.]

(Notice I didn't leave the option of "sane", as we all, until perfected, operate insanely in some ways - as we haven't yet figured out how to be sane in those areas.)

Do you want to stop driving yourself insane some or too much of the time?

The answer to how to do that and to operate sanely and happily in life is below.

Insane people

1.  Believe in things that do not match reality (Do you know what reality is, clearly and truly? If not, consider learning what it is!  What Is Reality?

2.  Behave in ways that do not work.  They keep doing what doesn't work.

[Einstein: "Insanity is to keep on doing the same thing and hoping for different results.]
(And they don't correct them, often feeling helpless to - and they don't realize there is a rational, workable way to do this.)
Those who live life well operate this way:  Living Life As A Life Champion - notice the quick correction process!

3.  Do not use reasoning and logic nor check out their facts, often jumping to conclusions (Effective Thinking)

(Few people recognize this in themselves, but the evidence lies in them having too many undesired results in their lives beyond the very few, infrequent physical things that may happen.}

4.  Do not realize that their thoughts are not accurate nor true - They do not understand the process of how thoughts happen in the brain - so they operate in an illusionary world.

[This is what the Buddha is referring to as "living our lives in illusion", not that chairs and stuff aren't reality, but that our thoughts are mostly illusions and often highly inaccurate.]
(All meditation disciplines teach people to recognize thoughts as not necessarily true and often inaccurate and to "let them pass" without giving them credibility.  To return to only giving credibility to sound, fact-based [i.e. reality based], reasoned conclusions/beliefs, one must not only use effective thinking but also not engage in Emotional Reasoning and not to believe it is true.  Nor believe that Intuition is infallibly true.)

To further clarify and understand

To further clarify this, you would read "High Sanity" - Highly Recommended, especially noting the definition of insanity!

This is how you might determine your %

You are highly anxious alot of the time (= irrational fears)   60% insane

Keep on doing that which is harmful to yourself:
       Mildly                                                                              20% insane
       Alot                                                                                 60%

Inefficient and/or in a hurry alot of the time                   40-60%

To the extent your life goes well and smoothly, you are operating sanely.

The spectrum

If you had a spectrum from complete sanity all the way to insanity, where would you mark yourself and how well your life is going in terms of actually producing real, enduring happiness (which is the only mark of sanity):

__ 100% sane, 0% not sane (100% effective in life)
__   80%, 20%
__   60%, 40%
__   40%,, 60%
__   20%  80%
__   I can't even think and smoke alot of pot

Are you willing to tolerate that?

How much are you willing to tolerate?  Do you have to tolerate that?

The answer is a definite "No!!!"

The solution

The answer lies in following this path:  The Only Path To The Greatest Life - Using "The Process".
