The fool goes back and tries the same old thing that didn't work before (though he doesn't often notice), hoping that it will work this time.
The smart person, instead, goes back and looks at what he already knows (or sees that it always works) and does more of it. He actually completes (rather than quickly moving on to the next great promising thing before he is finished harvesting his current crop) what is already before him that has been clearly identified as being of top priority and effect.
The fool lets the good stuff go by the wayside, as he is looking for the great next revelation. He is stuck in his hope and fantasy and "there's gotta be a better way" than this - he doesn't approach it from a growth perspective but from a wishful thinking perspective.
Instead of being a fool, again, and again, and again... Just perfect that which you've already started that is proven to be hugely beneficial.
Refine and make sure this is done:
What a successful schedule looks like:
- Your Morning Ritual
- Important Work First Thing — With No Distractions
- Regroup When You Slow Down
- Meetings, Calls And Little Things In The Afternoon
- A Relaxing Evening
Do you want to keep on being a feckless fool, mired in random distractions and wishful thinking or an effective person?
If you choose to fully implement the above, you will do well, guaranteed. If you don't, you are a fool, doomed to repeating Groundhog Day every day...
[Note that your ability to chase the shiny new stuff and to get it into effect is dramatically increased when you follow the wisdom of the success schedule.]
