The life of discontinuous paths...accumulating no value in life

Where are we to go in life that is meaningful?

Isn't what is "meaningful" that which provides accumulated value in life?

Isn't learning meaningful when it leads to a greater accumulation of more and more ability to effectively produce value in life?  Isn't accumulating memories of getting desired results from what you do meaningful?  (Incidentally, "meaning" is that derived strictly from increasing one's "survivability" and getting evidence of it - that is how we evolved.).

With that context in mind (that way of looking at what we truly want in life), wouldn't a life of discontinuous paths have us accumulating zero (or very little) in life?

Over time, wouldn't it look like this:

-------------->0
                       -------------->0
                                              ------------>0.              Score:: 0 accumulated value

Of course, there are various degrees and combinations of some things completed and some not, but the results in one's life will give us feedback on whether these discontinuous paths are harming our lives, as we will not have what we want in life, those around us will not be happy being around us, and/or we will feel regret, ongoing anxiety, or the other negative emotions.

Yes, sometimes it is hard to stay on a path to completion (to getting results).  So sometimes we need help to keep us on the path.

If that is what is needed because you do not yet have the ability to stay on the path (as demonstrated) to completion, go get the help!!!!!!!!  Don't leave your life sucking in waste and nothingness and lack of satisfaction, full of negatives, mostly seeking relief, or rescue from others (some kind of approval or "looking good").

Get a coach.

Do an "intensive" on-site workshop, at a great expense, that will create the environment needed and keep you on the course to get the results.  Accumulate something of great value, don't sell yourself short, don't "stop short" of living a great life of huge accumulated value, don't stop at living and playing it small in life, full of regrets and wondering whether you have succeeded in life....

So, will you choose to do whatever it takes to have continuous action on something of value until you actually produce the value or will you live a life of discontinuous action,  stopping and starting all the time, but not getting the results and the new higher platform of living life?

_____________

The classic example is the person who will spend a whole weekend or even a week in seminars and then not followup at all.  That person is most likely to live life ineffectively, for he is constantly stopping short of actually creating an effect (a result that shows up in the real world).  He is trying to "accumulate" knowledge, but is mostly left with nothing, with only a "talking knowledge" but nothing remaining as it gets lost from memory or piled into nonredeemable masses of data....
