We are only human, so we won't "know" everything ahead of time. That means that we must "learn" as we go. To learn, we must first "see" that there is something to learn. Those who are Life Champions do this constantly, plus they do one additional thing. Those who are "stuck" in life far below where they could live life, continue to constantly commit The Greatest Mistake In Life.
Confucius: "A man who has committed a mistake and doesn't correct it, is committing another mistake."
Surely, even for those who only see it vaguely through the haze, we can all realize when we get an "undesired result" (commit a mistake, feel bad emotionally, cause harm, etc.). If we see it and we don't do anything to learn better and to correct it, we not only get the pain of repeating the mistake but we get the mental pain of feeling the failure and the lack of confidence in being able to run our life. (The greatest effect is in continually feeling anxiety, shame, guilt, fear and feeling "bad about yourself", which are all based on false beliefs not aligning with reality. This is the key determinant of one's quality of life and happiness!!!! When you follow the program suggested below, you'll note that you must first read the discussions of what reality actually is - then alot of nonsense falls away!)
But anybody who not only "sees" the bad effect/mistake but immediately takes it as feedback on what to correct AND then corrects it, will soon (remarkably soon) have a much greater life full of high functioning, that continues to be ever greater and greater.
Anybody who is truly committed to doing this, no matter the excuses or barriers, WILL absolutely live a great life.
Anybody who is "too busy" or finds it "not convenient" to correct the "mistake" (in execution, in thinking, etc.) will continue on the path to a nowhere life. They will live Groundhog Day - and often live a unnecessary self-created hell, of anxiety, guilt, low self confidence, etc..
What is necessary of course is to decide to and then do sufficient learning to the point of having a workable strategy (copied from a successful person is fine) and THEN implementing that immediately and excellently - just as a champion athlete does, making 100's of adjustments while others make only 10's.
But just as a runner (or football player or basketball player) must learn to do the basics better, to build the base, you need to build the base for "playing" life - as you can easily anticipate (perhaps with some guidance, such as on The Site) what basics to learn and correct BEFORE you experience the ill effects of not doing them right.
For instance, one will always be stuck in mistakes and have huge barriers to progressing forward if one is stuck in old, false beliefs that cause so much anxiety and fear and "stopping of the brain's thinking power" to such a degree that one cannot move forward in life.
THE BEST WAY TO LEARN?
But the question comes up about what is the best way to learn about this so that one can actually do the corrections?
As one true proactive student learned, it is best to use Effective Learning techniques that make the learning easier and/or quicker and definitely more effective.
The number one method is complete, focused, immersive learning until "lift off" is achieved.
One reason it is effective is that one has no distractions and, if it is in a supervised program located away from all distractions, it is assured to have the necessary focus needed to be effective. This is often what is needed by those people who just can't seem to follow a program on their own.
Yet a person can be caught up in waffling in indecision (which is created, incidentally, out of false beliefs) because of the cost and/or the time involved.
However, in the area of correcting the one area that is the portal and determinant of all of one's life, one cannot afford to not go forward - as that not going forward will, again, create one living Groundhog Day, over and over and over... unnecessarily suffering from the same false beliefs. (Interestingly enough, there are those people who remain stuck in their old ineffective ways because they believe that making a little progress is good enough, so they never quite get past that "feel good" of learning something with future promise, into actually creating the results they want in life.)
As I've noted before, it is worthwhile to find that program. The one I've found, which has plenty of support for its effectiveness, including effective people I've interviewed, is The Hoffman Institute. It takes you deep, with plenty of support and expertise, into looking at and altering beliefs in one concentrated week - where you come out with an actually product (a written set of new beliefs).
The choice is, in this case, for one particular individual stuck in limbo on doing this, is to use what is effective (to take the leap) or to stay stuck in the land of uncorrected mistakes...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THE ONE "PRECURSOR" FOR THE LIFE CHAMPION
We talk about how the champion in any area seeks feedback and does quick adjusting. But something, on the causal chain of life, helped to cause this way of living/doing. (When looking at each piece of life one can step back and look for the precursors and the effects that must, logically, be in the chain. Something does not ever magically "spring into place" - there is always a cause that precedes it. Know this and then you can be conscious enough to "look for" and find the cause.)
They made the decision, in some form, that the excellence and results attained are well worth the effort AND that they shall do all of what is necessary to create the desired result.
You, too, must also make the precursor decision (that lead to the behavior), which I discuss at The ONE Decision That Determines All Of Life.
IMPROVING ON THE "QUICKLY ADJUST" STRATEGY
Since there are so many things that one could get better at and since random (correction) acts only happen sporadically, it is best to "think ahead" as to what to focus on first.
Obviously, the criteria would be "that which will have the greatest benefit to oneself".
The areas of greatest benefit, in order, are:
1. Correcting one's beliefs into a highly workable, effective, integrated whole (this will "transform" anyone's life!)
2. Learning the basics of how to solve problems (which is all part of life)... and implementing it. (This leads to being able to make good decisions, as that is part of problem solving and implementation of the solution.)
3. Learning to and "doing" the "living life in The Zone".
4. Learning what will have the greatest effect on one's life toward "life value". And then doing what is necessary to get the actual result.
There is prepreparational learning necessary to be able to do those at the level that is best/optimal, of course, but you can start with getting many of the benefits right away by following the forms that are provided for you in each area, after, of course, reading the introductory discussions.
The best approach is the intensive immersive learning. Until you do that, you would read the discussion materials, and then use the forms to guide you through to new beliefs and problem solution.
