I cannot imagine how any human being would not be moved, touched, and even inspired by this article on Shawn Stephenson's mother... and how she kept him impossibly alive... and the miracle of life he then created... Read this article...and then read the other one and see if you might want to live your life at a much higher level...
We often fail to appreciate the incredible gifts we are "given" as being human. We get caught up in being short of expectations, not being enough, not having enough (all stories!), etc. But "being human" is simply wondrous if we look with, as if a child, at the world with a sense of awe and wonder.

Furthermore:
Ironically
the following quote applies to far more people than it should: "If you want to
succeed, you can’t wait for the world to give you attention the way a 'cripple
waits for food stamps to arrive in the mail." It seems that some of us 'cripple' ourselves... when we all have the capability to create an excellent life.
I loved
this comment on his article: "What an inspiration. I am printing out
and posting this next to my computer. Next time I start blowing up balloons for
a pity party, your words will remind me of the fallacy of CAN’T."
