Reality, spirituality, effectiveness, causality, capability - questions from a "student of life"

(In email, click on the post title in order to read the entire post.)

As "Tim" reads my Life Value Productivity book, certain significant life philosophy and effectiveness questions come up.

He is shedding his beliefs about "accidents", "magical entities", "wishful thinking" and such and learning to rely on actual reality and causality: the cause-effect principles (as compared to the "hoping for effects" without enough cause being inserted!).  In this I suggest that he re-read The Believing Brain summary.

He is beginning to see that it is all systems (processes) that we need to discover and/or correct from what we do that gets us undesired results.  Indeed, I suggest that "As we fix our systems, more and more reliable results are produced...and life gets better and better, until it arrives at being great (and then even greater and then even greater...etc., as we continue to grow."

And we get off of "wishful thinking" and into reality where this is what counts: "Workability/results is the only criterion for anything in life.  Good/bad/right/wrong/blame are not valid!"

And we discuss a number of issues around life effectiveness and even a few forms to use to arrive at better solutions....
