How to have productive conversations...

(In email, click on the post title in order to read the entire post.)

Sometimes we must engage in productive conversations in order to "produce" what we want.  It would be wise, therefore, to follow the right way to have such a conversation AND to avoid those that end up in opposition, stuck positions, and/or upset.

These are my inputs about this process, but note that it also includes some "drilling down" to deeper understanding on what gets in the way, such as reactiveness and the reasons for it, getting stuck in "stories", and "being right", where we are off and running in the "fear" mode that badly sabotages progress.

It's a long piece, but I recommend you study it deeply and get each piece of it down so that you "own" it and are able to create the results you want in each (and to avoid what you don't want!)

Put your copy of this in an accessible place, so you can review it before your next "progress" conversation.
