The "One Thing" Technique: To Speed Up Your Progress In LIfe - Hugely!

When one has a major objective (especially when there is urgency or a strong need to achieve it because of its importance) one would best employ the “One Thing” Technique.  [In email, click on the title of this post to see it all.] In this mode we focus every day (or as often as feasible), during a set period of time, to the exclusion of other “interests” or needs, on One Thing, until it is completed


This usually means that there are to be 2-3 hours set aside each day during which you will work on nothing but that objective.  (It could be one hour at the beginning of the day and one later if that is what is needed due to other conflicting schedules.)


Whatever you do in life, please make sure you put this into action in your life!  

DO NOT LEAVE THIS ARTICLE WITHOUT IMPLEMENTING IT!!!! 

APPLYING IT

So...this means that I have to put my money/efforts where my mouth is.  I need to work on my book starting the first two hours of my productivity day.  After that, I will simply be starting a regular productivity day.  

Let’s say you’re in an awful job and you want a good job with good pay.  What would you do?


Well, you would certainly not just sit around disheartened, resigned to a not so good future…

You’d devote at least the first hour of productivity time every day to researching and figuring out what to do to make that happen AND to getting the results.  Of course, as with everything you’d draw up a plan to be modified as you go as to what to do, so that you are not wandering around randomly.
