THANKS FOR THE WAY THE WORLD WORKS!!!!
As I reached for my smoothie (thanks to Eric Edmeades) in the refrigerator, I told Robin “thank you for my smoothie” (which I say every day) and “thank you for my hard boiled egg”. And then I remembered to thank Costco for making it available...and then I remembered to be thankful for the trucking in of all those items, for the egg producers (especially for the chickens), and everything that made it possible. (Oh… and thanks for learning about the benefits of intermittent fasting, as I am just starting to eat at 12 pm…)
And then I remembered how blessed and how grateful I am for having Robin in my life and for how great a person she has become and how good she is with me and for me...
And then...
And then I remembered how incredible it is that the world works so well overall and how things are happening and being done that will benefit me and/or give me the opportunity to create benefit. And, sure, there are things in the overall system that may work against us, but incredibly little compared to the overall benefits - it all nets out and pans out to something incredibly great.
And then I remembered to thank myself for the incredible amount of learning and creating of good things in my life and for creating who I am. And for surviving all the “disasters” I thought I was in, that all passed…for my having developed a great life philosophy... and having learned that “ I can, and will, handle any situation in life.”
And then for the incredible benefits from technology, which I very frequently respond to with “this is incredible. How blessed can we be!” (sometimes I get up and do a little dance of joy…not just about that, but about life overall...) =-)
Then I remember my huge “Mountain Of Haves” and how little the “losses of part of some of the gains” and meaningless ‘life problems’ are. And connected inextricably with gratitude is "total acceptance" of "what is so".
