Many of those who attempt to learn life, to get better at doing something and/or to live a better life wonder why they aren't doing better in life.
It is simply because they have not thoroughly digested, reflected, and studied what they have read or been exposed to.
As the famous philosopher Shopenhauer observed about the process of gaining wisdom and effectiveness:
As the famous philosopher Shopenhauer observed about the process of gaining wisdom and effectiveness:
"It is only by reflection that one can assimilate what one has read if one reads straight ahead without pondering over it later, what has been read does not take root, but is for the most part lost."
If one has not "thought out' the entire process of what it takes to successfully learn and implement what is to be done, one will be left with no results and simply a lot of undigested, unused information. The person might become a paragon of information but to what avail?
Success lies only in the results, not merely going through the motions.
If you are not getting the results you want in life, it is because you have stopped short of doing what it takes to create the ability to create the results and/or you haven't spent sufficient time planning (deciding what to do) and acting on it.
Simple.
1. Read lots and lots more.
2. Study it and learn it to completion (meaning to the point where you can implement it and then do implement it.)
(Read the piece on completion, above, as it is one of the "secrets" to success - not hoped for success, but for assured success!)

The Only Sure Path To The Greatest Life - Using "The Process" - This leads you much further down the path on the above concept.

'completion' seems to be my real issue, and this has been coming up again and again in the past few weeks (in different formats) on the blog too! Guess that's my cue :)
