Yes, you can get "the good news", instead of the "bad"

Note that your primitive brain responds to bad news by paying more attention to the negative, as that is how we survived.  However, if the bad news is not truly relevant to our surviving, it should get zero attention.  If we divert our attention to "bad news", we have fewer "attention units" left over to use for gaining good benefits for oneself.
