As I look back right now, I see that there are some things I should have done 5 years ago (or 10 years ago) that would have made a positive difference in my life or my mission.
Yes, those things were things I was aware of that I "should" do, but I didn't do them, as I was too busy doing other things or I just didn't want to take the time away from what else I was doing.
So, now, today, I will be asking myself, "as I look back on my life 5 years from now what will I see that I should've done 5 years ago that would have made my life much better" and, of course, I'll put those into my plan and work them into my schedule (for I know it will not happen otherwise as is true for many Quadrant II Activities ). [I now have put it into my calendar directly so I can't miss it...]
This is a similar exercise recommended by a number of experts where a similar question is asked: "What will I regret 5 years from now?" (Which is a better and shorter version, I think, than the "what will I regret at the end of my life" exercise.)
I recommend that you do this exercise (and that you put it into your calendar right now if you are going to do it!).
This is a massively important exercise to do, even if you only take 10 minutes.
I recommend very strongly that you do it!!!
