Spend 80% of your time

(Click on the title of the post to see the entire post.)

Another way of looking at the Four Quadrants you should be running your life based on:

URGENT
NOT URGENT

IMPORTANT

Procrastinator

Effective

NOT IMPORTANT

Yes man

Slacker

From:  Aymeric at Week Plan

Which one or ones dominate the way you are living life?

Procrastinator - lots of important and urgent problems or left overs not done in a timely. Manner.  A hectic existence with anxiety and lack of confidence.

Yes man - Fill up life with lots of unimportant things (but thinks everything is important)), much of it is urgent because the people you said yes to have set deadlines for you to perform their agenda items.

Slacker - Does alot of unimportant non-urgent distractions, "adventures", "trips off to curiosity land",  impulses.

Effective - Has developed the self control and maturity to primarily focus on what is truly important, including self development and systems that will make life work better, relationship quality, being there for people when it counts, spending time only on highly important activities (including self care!!!).

What % of the time do you spend in each quadrant?

I would suggest that you spend 80% of the time in the effective quadrant.

Yes, I know this sounds like you'll always be efforting but, no, you are spending time recovering and rejuvenating, only in effective ways (rather than current ways of using distractions and avoidance to get "relief" from anxiety.

Most people spend their time haphazardly majoring in the irrelevant, low importance  (life wasting)  activities.  (See The "Law" Of Relevancy - Staying On The Path Of What Makes A Difference To You!)
