You MUST do a sufficient number of "resets", to live a good life

(Click on the title of this post to read the entire post.)

We let ourselves go into mental and/or physical dysfunction too frequently during the day AND we do not correct it quickly enough.

It makes no sense to get into dysfunctioning, and to stay in it, as the costs are too great, including the time and portion of your life that are wasted while being in it.  It is vital to be in a state where we can have a high quality experience of life!

A person with a lot of anxiety or a person who lets him/herself be at a low energy level is a person who is in dysfunction much more of the time than others are, so the person must do the management strategies much more often if he/she is to live a well-managed life.  (Shallow, rapid breathing is NOT to go uncorrected!)

Such a person must do many, many resets during the day - and all will be beneficial, at least in reducing the cost of being in dysfunction.

The person MUST be sure to do at least instant resets (stop, breathe deeply, close eyes, reposture) and do resets that are sufficient for "recovery" (restoration) of functionality.

The instant resets should be a constantly available and used tool in any person's life if the person is to have a good life.  If a person is to be a well functioning human, the person MUST become very competent at this - and I suggest that it is well worth it to become a true master of it!

The non-instant resets (naps, very simple mind calming, correcting and restating to the positive,  energizing routines, and such) should be done, taking the time unless there is a true emergency that prevents it.

Trying to function while in dysfunctionality is one of the most "unsmart" things a person can do.

The rule would best be: Reset each and every time you notice any dysfunctionality! That way you will be functioning much more of the time in life!  And you will avoid the ill effects of spiraling within dysfunctionality!

Remember that a vital principle underlying all of life is that of Homeostasis, which principle we want to use to stay in "The Power Zone".

Of course, a "reset" is curative of the symptoms only.  The person who is in charge of his/her own life will find a way to "cure the cause, not just the symptoms" - clearly that is the superior approach!

he person must find and/or design strategies that will work to avoid going into a dysfunctional state - such as naps, different eating strategies, energizing ahead of the drop, and such.

All of these are addressed on The Site.  Start with reading the main page on Homeostasis, Staying In The Power Zone and then follow the links!
