THE ADVENTURE OF IT ALL
As a friend of mine goes off on yet another learning adventure all week with lots of classes on life, finance, relationships, etc., he is excited for all he might learn and for the possibilities of who he'll meet or what might come up.
Well, that sounds pretty good, but...
As in all things, being too far out of balance can be harmful to one's living of life!
If one has too many ideas and too little implementation and completion, one has few results to show for it, other than the fun of mental masturbation or hope for the future.
Random ideas and possibilities CAN provide some grist for the mill in producing a better life. Yes, that is true, but... it should be done AFTER the key implementations are completed!
FULL OF IDEAS GOING NOWHERE
I notice that he is stuck in being full of ideas (and tidbits of knowledge) and short of implementation of what is necessary to actually live a better life.
He is being similar to what we used to refer to as "the seekers" in life, who get stuck in seeking but never quite attain happiness - while we'd recommend instead being a "finder" of the answers in life.
New stuff is exciting and a new journey is always exciting.
But those who succeed are not the ideaholics, the 'new'aholics, and/or the possibilityaholics , but those who determine a path to follow and follow it all the way to completion - to learning sufficient knowledge to be able to (and then implementing) produce the result - and concentrating on the few things that really matter, rather than all the things that might have "some value".
LEARNING EFFECTIVELY
The very idea of learning at random and not in a systematic way is antithetical to being successful in learning life.
He "got" the idea of productivity "time blocks", but, so far, has not been inserting enough "life learning" hours to make a difference in his life.
He improves something a little and then the pressure is off - things are "better" and no longer urgent... And then he is out there looking for the next new possibility, always seeking but seldom progressing much.
DO "THE BUILD"...QUICKLY!
Unless he changes this, his "build" in life will be slow or nonexistent and life will continue to have its (unsolved) difficulties, guilts, anxieties, and lack of emotional well-being. Instead he (and anyone who is reading this) should commit (and design) to following a designated path to completion of whatever life goal or sub-goal he seeks AND inserting into his "high value" time blocks the necessary hours to rapidly make progress.
This will cause one's learning curve to accelerate so that life gets far better in one year instead of five years or ten years or never...

WHAT SHOULD I DO WITH THIS?, YOU ASK
Heed it.
1. Pick a goal you'd like to reach in life.
2. Review the relevant articles on the site, using the contents/links and/or reading sequences or paths.
3. Write down which ones you'll read, put them in order, and then follow the path you've set up - or use one of the paths I've already set up (perhaps modifying it to better fit your situation). Go to The Paths and then navigate your way to a path you can use. (While you're at it, you would best read The Only Sure Path To The Greatest Life - and fully engrain yourself into following it.)
Note: If you run across something of interest on the site and of high relevance to your life, don't just read it for a "quick hit" and then go do something else. Instead, build on it, concentrating on the area for at least a week, reading the related links and then sitting down to write out what decisions (and actions) you have determined.
HOW MANY HOURS OF LIFE LEARNING PER WEEK?
If you are in the early stages of "the build", do at least 5-7 hours a week.
If you are aiming for dramatic life change rapidly, wasting no time, do 15-20 hours a week.
