An hour of learning every morning...?

THE QUOTE

"Taking control of your mornings is very much like investing in yourself. This is how Billionaire Charlie Munger got so smart: he set aside an hour in the mornings every day just to learn."

From:  Farnam Street Blog, What The Most Successful People Do Before Breakfast  (Mornings are an under-utilized tool to aid productivity.)

Read that blog post.

Then go to The Life Management Alliance site to choose which to read of the following [suggestion: you should read and understand them all!]:

Life Productivity - This is about "life value" productivity, NOT about making more widgets or more money or getting more quantity into your life!  The secret to  life is developing the ability to "be productive" with your time.

Notice that the key is implementation, so you must end up sticking it into the structure of your life:  Pre-Set, Committed Schedule - You must have a pre-set, super committed schedule if you are to get the most value out of life.

And, as long as you are going to learn, it might be useful to figure out not just "when" but "what".

Depending on the topic, there are a number of reading and learning programs on the site, which you can link down to, perhaps starting at The Paths.

But the next question to ask is "why?" (or actually, "for what purpose?").  Obviously you want to obtain a result from it other than pleasantly passing time.  So the answer for you might be in learning the distinction called "Sufficient" Knowing - True Awareness, Not Partial - Truly sufficient knowledge exists only if the knowledge is enough to effectively get the results.  "I knew better" is a false statement.

  1. Keith,
    You nailed it.
Positive affirmations and good intentions can
    only take you so far.
    Implementation.
    Implementation.
    Implementation.
You made the hard work easy by going to
The Life Management Alliance and deciding
    where to begin.
    Thanks.
