Fly to the destination (of no fear, for instance) or walk or drive?

On the. Road Trip Of Life, if we want to get to a metaphorical New York City ("where my experiences of life will be best") from Los Angeles, shall I

__ Walk
__ Drive
__ Maybe meander off and on
__ Fly

WHAT MAKES SENSE?

If the destination was "no fear" (and lots of happiness) and the means was to correct all false beliefs about threats/dangers that have gotten in the way of your life, wouldn't you want to get there the fastest way possible?

THE REALITY

1. We are born with a fear mechanism that works well, as it forces us to solve the threat/danger (keeps us alive!).  (We can't get rid of this mechanism, though we can "decondition" it to a point of less reactivity.).  Fear is compelling and solving the perceived danger takes precedence always and gets in the way of doing something else (as we can only do one thing at a time).

2. We acquire beliefs about dangers/threats that are not true.  They are the great majority of our believed dangers and threats and eliminating them would eliminate 99% of all fears and threats!  (This is for sure, but you must buy into that reality, so learn as much as you need to in order to believe it.)

3. Should we correct them?

    a. If we don't correct them, we constantly experience fear and have to spend our lives wrestling with it.

    b. If we eliminate the false beliefs, then there are no longer faux threats and we can devote our lives and energy to creating what we want.

Leaving the false beliefs in place just leaves too many barriers.  To have a good life, we must get rid of the barriers first.

BUT IT COSTS TOO MUCH

Yes, flying costs more, so there is a tradeoff.  If a person believes in being "economical" or operates from a poverty fear mentality (because it helps reduce the threat of not having enough money to live on), but there is no longer a threat to spending the money, then he is caught up in a "means" goal, where he thinks he is getting somewhere by being a way that "worked before".

But now he has plenty of guaranteed income to afford $4,000, with lots left over, plus another $400,000 to $800,000 cushion. (The program being considered is The Hoffman Institute workshop.)

Now, it might be a good idea for him to say "now, let me think here..."

Hmmm... What is life worth?  Is "life" to be sacrificed to saving money?  (Do I still need to save money? Is that an outdated, rigid, thoughtless belief in and of itself, with no attachment to reality?)

So, what is the wise choice?
Solve it finally or leave the problems built in and intact?

FIRE! RUN FOR. THE EXITS!

If there were the urgency of a fire would you dawdle toward the exits or go there directly and quickly?

Living with substantial false beliefs and leaving them in place will burn you badly with the searing heat of the fire of fear.   And do it constantly over and over.

First run to a safe place.  Then cure the cause of the fire (false beliefs), so you don't have to do thh running and getting burnt and all the fire fighting.   Be a fire preventer in the first place - and life is so much easier that way.   Correct the beliefs.  They are the cause of your fires of hell in life.

A NOTE TO THOSE WITH DIFFERENT MONETARY TRADEOFF FACTORS

For someone with lots of money, the tradeoff cost of the purchase is much easier to make.  It will not affect the basics and necessities of life or rob from other choices.

However, if you have less money you would best still use the same thinking.  You make sure that the choices are clearly defined and the facts and benefits evaluated and then you weigh the choice on your balancing scale.

If you've determined that something is of super value then I recommend that you err on the side of putting a lot into it.

No one can afford to live a life without there major false beliefs being corrected.  No one can afford to let their false beliefs keep on ruining life....

In making this decision, you will notice that you might think there is a threat somewhere of a loss of something, but surely not of anything that is existential or serious. You might have to work a little harder or experience inconvenience...

BELIEFS ARE A SYSTEM, READ SAM CARPENTER'S ARTICLE ON REALITY

NEVER TOLERATE UNCORRECTED BELIEFS

Uncorrected beliefs and threats are the elephant in the room got to stop walking around, Do not tolerate leaving bad beliefs uncorrected for a moment longer.  Keep going on the process of correcting them UNTIL you have finished them off and are living in a set of beliefs that empower you and have you feeling happy every day - for there is no legitimate reason not to be very, very happy about life.

At the very least, follow the Program For Upgrading Your Beliefs.  Follow it all the way to the end!
