Why have an electric lift?
Because the manual cranks make it less likely you'll use it frequently, as you should go up and down at least hourly.
Why have a whole desk that is lifted?
I need the 60" x 30" top, so that I can lift two large screens, lighting lamp and the other items I want on my desk.
I do love mine and find it easy to stand frequently for awhile...
