Critical to life: what you think and what you let into your life!

(In email, click on the post title in order to read the entire post.)

This PickTheBrain post should be taken very, very seriously.  We allow our “standards” in this regard to be compromised, thinking “it’s ok” or “it’s minor” - but it isn’t!!!!   It’s major.  You should not, for a moment, let anything less than what is good for you into your mind...

You are likely to have dismissed this before as being too trivial or unimportant, but this time I hope you take it seriously AND do something about it!

Read and then heed:  Your Life Is Just What You Think It Into Being.

WHAT TO DO ABOUT THIS

You can certainly think “oh, that might have some validity, and, of course, I’ve heard it before”, but that is the seed of dismissal and laxity.

The question is always “how can I use this, and what should I do, to better my life?”.

If you seriously do this, I promise that in reality (not just in some mystical way) you will transform your life because you transformed your “conversation” in life.  Your conversation in life is at the core, the center, of your very life.   See One’s Sustained Background Conversation Determines The Quality Of One’s Life.

The suggested exercise, after reading the above link, is to write down every single thing that is negative that comes into your head, either from your thoughts (and what you say) or from outside sources (people, tv, in print) for a full day (or at least four hours).  You would then look at the list and decide what sources to eliminate and what of your own thinking to modify (such as is suggested in the link provided in the previous paragraph).

If you don’t seriously do this, your life will stay the same and you’re likely to continue “living in the drift”, living the life of a gradually boiling frog, dissipating into the PokeyMan life, and reliving a close facsimile of Groundhog Day.

Your choice.  A little mental exercise for a few hours and a great change in life...or let things slide along...

[Remember: whenever you don't have time to do what appears to be worthwhile, you should "tickle" it to come up at a time when you can do it,,,or put it into your calendar right now, reserving time for it.  See How To  Smartly Use A Blog.]
