Solving The Problem Of “Risk Fear”

(In email, click on the post title in order to read the entire post.)

We greatly exaggerate our risks into threats that upset and scare us, but, in truth, if we look at them in full perspective and with full wisdom, we see that "it is nothing" at all.   Sure we'll have "losses", but most will be so far above the line where it would mean something that they are not true losses - and there is no real threat.

Anyway, learn these perspectives as addressed in the linked piece - and become "fearless".

Read on:  Solving The Problem Of “Risk Fear”.

As always, send questions, comments, etc., and let me know if you used this and the results of using it.

To your good fortune in life,

Keith D. Garrick

"Life Productivity" - New ebook for all

Well, finally, I put together what I think are very, very useful strategies for "life productivity", which means getting the most out of life.  I think anyone can gain significantly from doing these very doable (in terms of simplicity and implementability) steps.  Just doing a few of these will, I guarantee, free up many hours to devote to something of more value for you.

I wrote this book because it is difficult for people to "read" a website, as they need more of an overview and a "tying it all together" and then a sequence of what to read and do.  I know there are many books out there on these same subjects, but I have yet to find one that ties it all together and is concise and implementable - or I'd just refer people to that one.  (If you know any in any area of life that do that, please let me know and I'll add them to my central recommendations!)

I started with this book because it frees up so much time that you'll have the time to read the next books in the "just do this in this order" series.

(Get the free kindle reader for your computer. Go to any Amazon page with a Kindle book on it and find the box for the free app, for any smartphone, tablet or type of computer, including iPhone and iPad.)

A personal note:

I investigated productivity for myself (and others, for the website), so that I could increase the value I got from life.  In looking at what worked for all who were successful (other than luck), I found the schedule that worked for them.  And I flipped my day from being a "night owl" to being a lark - and it changed the whole feeling of the day, plus it upped my productivity hugely.  Eventually, after more studies and thinking, I dropped a whole bunch of needless activities that had no value and no real relevance to my life (I just had not questioned what most of us Westerners do with our time).  TV cancellation is one, but then I stopped doing everything that was irrelevant (or low value) - a huge amount of time and energy became free for other things.

May you make significant gains in your "life productivity",

Keith

A Super-Highly Recommended Book

(Don't forget to put you email address into the "follow by mail", if you want to have an automatic notification of any new posts and updates.)

I'd highly recommend you  follow the process in the (free) book Journey To You, as it'll take you through identifying some "mistruths" many people believe and in the process you'll identify a true sense of purpose and a confidence that I believe will serve you.

Just go Steve Olsher's website and request your free copy of the 200+ page book, one that I believe is one of the best I've read, easily putting across some points in such a clear manner that I have not yet been able to make.

I couldn't put the book down, as it did such a good job of "building" and leading to some great results.   Although you get it for free, I did a review on the book at Amazon (Kahuna Keith).

Let me know what you think!

Keith

His book was actually rated by one organization as the best self-help book of the year.

What Books To Read

At Barnes and Noble, I met a young fellow who, at 28, seems to be on a powerful path.  He asked me to recommend some books for him to read, as he is an avid reader, reading at least 30 minutes a day.

Here is the list, together with some background:  The Best Books To Read For A Progressive, Accomplished Thinker

I did, a while back, pull together a page to link into the best books in the various areas of life.

You may wish to peruse those and decide which to read.  There is, in most of the lists, a specified order and a priority that you might wish to consider.  Link to The Best Books List.

After you read them, you might use the contents/links page for the appropriate topic to read further and/or (hopefully) clarify.  Of course, you can use the search engine also, though the contents/links pages will give you a better perspective and perhaps even an order to read the pieces in.

Yours toward a great life and being powerfully effective in it,

Keith
