Becoming Invincible And Fearless In Life...

(At no cost, ever), learn and implement an invincible core for your life, where you’re free of fears/anxieties and you are freed up to fully use your energy to create much more of what you want in life.

You’ll massively let go of being concerned with and/or trying to control the less controllable, the less fruitful.  You will free up massive amounts of time and energy, and eliminate 99+% of fears and anxieties (yes, once you “get” it, this will happen).  No required mental leaps or miracles, just do the exercises, copy the suggested items, and follow the program - a massive payoff, one of the very largest you can achieve, for your time!   (This is a fundamental of life that each human needs to learn!)

Proceed to:  The Summary Of Creating The Invincible Core Bindi and decide whether to follow the whole program.

Good (self created) fortune to you,

Not ever worrying about the future - it is such a waste...

“In your very planning, you are sowing the seeds of disappointment. In your very worrying about the future, you are wasting the present; and slowly, slowly it becomes your second nature to worry about the future. So when the future comes, it will come as the present; and because of your habit of worrying about the future, you will waste that moment also in worrying. You will go on worrying about the future for your whole life. You will stop only when death comes and takes away all possibility of the future. You missed your whole life: you could have lived – but you only planned. Live intensely and totally now, because the next moment will be born out of this moment; and if you have lived it totally and joyously, you can be absolutely certain that the next moment will bring more blessings, more joy.”
Peace In Every Step, Thich Nhat Hanh
As with all spiritual teachings, I find this message beautiful and inspiring, but also very hard to practice.
Nils And Jonas, on their blog
I notice that we seem to be trying to “will it away”, to overcome the force of worrying about the future, to struggle with it.
Well, how’s that workin’ for ya?
The practical addition that is needed is a full on assault on our beliefs around danger, safety,  self power.  If we deal with those beliefs of doubt and danger, and become truly proactive about life, we can become virtually “Fearless”.  Wouldn’t you love that?!!!
After all, isn’t it fear that is behind our worrying about the future?  And isn’t it useless to do worrying in the non-thinking lower brains, as they seldom solve the real problem.
Follow the (free) Fear/Anxiety Management Program, until you get to the point of being virtually fearless and experiencing virtually no anxiety all day.
It’s worth the time and effort...in fact it is priceless, for then you get to fully live life!

On "No Fear" And On Creating A Life Operations Manual...Plus!

(In email, click on the post title in order to read the entire post.)

"I would like to thank you again for all the work you have done to help it has been 100% invaluable. Without the emails, "Risk Fear" doc and the "Power of Thoughts" doc this would not have been remotely possible." Read the attached complete version of the email, linked below.

PL reported outstanding results from learning and actually applying these things in his life:

The "Zero Threat" from "risk" understanding, such that he could now see why no fear was needed!

How not to "react" from impulse or emotion, and to take the power pause to decide what would best work.

The power of creating an operating manual for life.

And more...

Read his insightful and resultsful message:

On "No Fear" And On Creating A Life Operations Manual...Plus!

May you harvest much benefit from this!

THE “SCARY POWER OF THOUGHT”… AND OUR POWER OVER IT

(In email, click on the post title in order to read the entire post.)

In response to a great self realization by PL on how “scary the power of thought is”, I wrote about how to actually have power over that process, such that 95+% of the fears and negative thoughts are relatively quickly eliminated from one’s life.

I know that PL will do his “homework” on this.  Will you take on the challenge...and gain the benefits?

Solving The Problem Of “Risk Fear”

(In email, click on the post title in order to read the entire post.)

We greatly exaggerate our risks into threats that upset and scare us, but, in truth, if we look at them in full perspective and with full wisdom, we see that "it is nothing" at all.   Sure we'll have "losses", but most will be so far above the line where it would mean something that they are not true losses - and there is no real threat.

Anyway, learn these perspectives as addressed in the linked piece - and become "fearless".

Read on:  Solving The Problem Of “Risk Fear”.

As always, send questions, comments, etc., and let me know if you used this and the results of using it.

To your good fortune in life,

False threats, like being slugged by a ghost...

(In email, click on the post title in order to read the entire post.)

As opposed to animals, we can project into the future and "mock up" (make up) something that could happen.  We also can attach "symbolism" to something that might be associated with a threat and then be afraid of it (rather than the real thing).

An animal will react to the actual threat.  We humans will actually create a bunch of symbolic ghosts where there is no actual threat at all.

We even make it up that if we don't get something we expect, even though we don't technically need it, that we have lost something and that it is a threat to our life.

99% of our believed threats are pure fiction and not based on reality or truth.  We are setting it up so that all sorts of ghosts are hitting us, with their ethereal hands passing right through us with no other effect at all - and we are thinking how awful it is.  But if we asked ourselves "did anything actually happen other than in my mind?", what would the answer be?  (See Notice: Nothing Actually Happened! - One Of The Greatest Philosophical Insights!.)

In virtually every worry and upset you have, you are not at all threatened relative to what you actually "need" to live a decent life.  (One essential understanding in life is What Is Enough?  If you don't know when you are "there", how could you ever be happy???)

Sure you're not getting paid enough, appreciated enough, loved enough, will have to work hard to get an adequate retirement, not treated with the respect you deserve, have a spouse with flaws, etc. and etc.   But those are nothing but fictional problems.  If you say, fully, every day, what you actually have, none of that would be in your threat or negative emotion bin.  (See, and "get", and thoroughly study and understand and implement everything around this: The Mountain Of Haves.)

Then once you discover this true paradigm you would stop faulting and criticizing yourself and stop making yourself unhappy:  No Fault.

Once we realize that we "making it all up" (in our metaphysical mind), then we can see right through the ghosts and laugh and not feel a thing when they attempted to hit you with their imaginary hands.

Getting rid of ALL of your negative fear/anxiety related emotions is your first and most important job if you are to live a great life.  It is important not to tolerate the repeated same old negative emotions and to eradicate the cause of them:  false beliefs.   Follow the program "to the end":  The Fear Management Program as well as getting rid of the cause of the fears via The Program For Upgrading Your Beliefs.

Make this a 10 hour a week program until you've eradicated all of your major fear/anxiety from your life!!!!!!

Before I learned and trained myself, here are some of the ghosts that passed through my life (plus a couple I added that are common to many people), often with all of them sitting there all at once and totally distracting me from living a great life or doing much of anything:  (you can borrow this list for ideas on what to do that doesn't work if you want to feel really bad, or you can borrow it and then use it to eradicate the ones you have...)

I settled for too little salary.  What's wrong with me?
How come I'm not rich, not cool, not totally powerful and disciplined and suave...aaarrrggghhhh!
    What's wrong with me!
I'm too chicken.  Why can't I be strong like others?
I don't get enough respect around here.  People don't admire me.
People misuse me.
I am not good enough.
I won't be loved (or my spouse doesn't think well enough of me).
I'm weak.  I'm too undisciplined.
I'm out of control.  Too fat, not muscular or strong enough....
I have no power.  I can't help myself with shiny objects and temptations and computer games...
I am so needy and out of control and must eat something comfortable.  (I didn't seek out the other easy escapes, like numbing out with alcohol and/or drugs...)
I don't have enough time.
What if I'm caught looking stupid or hiding something?
People don't approve of me.
People don't like me.
I must please everyone or I'm bad.
People can see how weak I am and/or how I'm not living life as I should.
People judge me (for my nose, before plastic surgery; my body; my not cool enough girlfriend)
I won't know that I am safe with my girlfriend until we've made love 50 times.
There's just too much to do and I'm not up to it.  To improve my company so it's good enough, or my spouse, or my child, or the people in my company.... (no one could do all of those things, so the secret is always to be selectively prioritizing and building and accessing the right resources - see my book on Kindle (enter Keith D. Garrick.)
I'm not smart enough.  Or "what's wrong with me that I can't solve this?
I'll go crazy or feel deprived if I don't get a new....
Help me, here, I'm running out...please send me a list of things to add to it.  (Notice that the site has something on each of these items.)

______________________________________

So, are you going to finish off these ghosts and live a full, great life or are you going to leave some in place, longer than they should be in place?

I strongly recommend that you make up a list, with at least two columns, one might be headed up "is this a ghost?"...another might be "priority"...another could be the "date to start on"...

Then you'd prioritize the list and follow the above programs (or just use the forms that are provided directly) until you've gone down the list and knocked off virtually all of them!

The "Tree Of Beliefs" and how to prune your beliefs so that they work for you!

(In email, click on the post title in order to read the entire post.)

It is most useful to visualize your belief system as a Tree Of Beliefs, where by cutting off one branch of a false belief we get rid of many, many derivative beliefs all at one time.  (The point being that there are not 100's of beliefs to correct, exhaustingly spending massive amounts of time, but only 10-20 key beliefs.  If you "disappear" (correct and replace) those few key beliefs, the others will disappear for lack of support!

See the full discussion in The Tree Of Beliefs - Identify What To Modify For A Better Life And Great Happiness.

Fear is an emotion...but we can eliminate 99% of all fears

(In email, click on the post title in order to read the entire post.)

Tim Ferriss puts forth an interesting, and valid, way of dealing with fears:  Fear-Setting (listen to the video of his Ted talk).  The key to getting rid of fears is...  ...amazingly, defining them and bringing them in out of the cold vagueness that allows them to persist when they are not useful and,  indeed, sometimes harmful (at least to our psyche).

Fears, other than the instant signal when there is true danger, are based strictly on beliefs that there is a threat when there is no actual, real, true threat other than in our minds.  Those beliefs are 100% correctable.  In correcting them, you will eliminate 95-99% of fears - and the unpleasantness and energy sucked up by the useless flailing around in them.

One should, as soon as possible, at least address one’s top 10 fears (or dilemmas you are currently in where you feel fear) and eliminate them (and amazingly one will find that other related fears just drop away into nothingness, seen as the nonsense that they are).

Consider learning about this and then applying what is in The Fear/Anxiety Management Program.  You would then learn to master this area until you are virtually Fearless.

Note that one cannot be happy in the “space” that is held by fear...they cannot co-exist, you MUST eliminate the opposite of what you want!  (It’s more than worth the time!!!!!!)
__________________________________________

The reason for the title of this blog post:. Fear itself is an emotion, an instant reaction to a perceived threat, built into our DNA.  Prolonged fear is based on false beliefs and faulty ways of thinking of “threats” and believing in them.  The “instinctual” fear will remain in place, duly protecting us from the real threats (physical ones) when needed, but the prolonged, faux, anticipatory fears will melt away!

Fear And The Thought Process

THE QUESTION

Hi Keith, I had shared with you that I am a regular user of your website. I was curious to know after such an extensive research & writing what are the changes you have made to your thought process ?

Do you still do things out of fear ? [Virtually never.]

Is it still an effort to live a powerful life ?  [No, as the "resistance" is gone.]

Do you have still have days where you are completely dictated by your primitive brain?
[Not totally dictated, but influenced biologically which impairs the operation of the higher brain.  But with acceptance and perspective, it is no big deal...]

Thanks & Best Regards,

THE ANSWER

Fear And The Thought Process - Ridding Yourself Of "Faux" Fear.

I hope this is of much benefit to you - of course that depends on how far you go with it.

Vital Happiness "Read"

As I write more and more and look deeper and deeper, some things become clearer and clearer - and no longer trite, but truly grokked.

A book that is maybe the first read that you should digest is The Buddha's Way Of Happiness, Thomas Bien.

As you may know, philosophy is the foundation for healthy psychology.  And this book explains how the time-tested, tried-and-true pieces of Buddhism can be understood in layperson terms AND implemented.

As I study happiness, I am more struck by what gets in the way of happiness, what causes unhappiness and stress and a just plain bad experience of life.  (I've written about this in Suffering And Struggle.)

We set up incredible beliefs about who we are and then we defend them against loss or bemoan them not being "better" - we even make up a "not good enough" mentality, where we try to, but never do, arrive at good enough, in an unwinnable game.  (See Playing Unwinnable Games.)

We create a foolish "reality" that isn't real at all - and then we play that game, the game of loss and what's-missing.  When we understand this and rise above it, we can then look deeply at the "mountain" of abundance of what we have.  (See What We Have, For Sure, Vs. Losses/Missings.  This, if you really understand it, leads to relative Fearlessness.)

This book is the best portal I can recommend, if you really, really want to be happy...

I recommend you read it with a pen in hand, and then reread it with a red pen in hand, and then implement it.

If you do, I guarantee you will be happier.

Toward your happiness, I am your servant,

Keith

STOPPING ALL SUFFERING AND FEARS

OK! The title is a slight exaggeration. It's actually factually about stopping virtually all suffering and fears (80-90+%).

It seems, on the surface, not to be possible. And that is a bit of the way I felt (actually the right word is "thought"; actually "believed" is more accurate) about it when I first went to the Fearless class at the Option Institute (http://www.option.org/ ). As is the case with many in-depth (beyond dilettantism and dabbling) learning, I found it is entirely doable! It seems incredible and like a bunch of hype, but it is provable, my friend.

This blog isn't the right format for a complete discussion, so you might want to start with the piece, referred to under a different title in the last blog, "The Perspective On Beliefs And Thoughts", under the section called "Beliefs and Thoughts, How To Deal With Bullbleep".

To link into it, click on the title of this blog piece, and then read it, going back and linking into all the pieces that it ties into.

Using the principle of Completion (see the Perspective piece), you'll find you can stop the repeating and repeating and repeating of the same old useless, but upsetting, thoughts - by blowing the foundation out totally, without even having to struggle with alot of detail!

Try it, you might life it! (Or, if you're fearless, you might refer a friend who could use it...)

FEARLESSNESS and THE DECISION TO BE HAPPY

Barbara,

We have discussed how your advisor psychologist friend has said you are behaving as a victim, so I thought I would write some additional pieces and sections around that idea.

The funny thing is that when we see that we are automatically doing some victim behaviors and then when we choose to stop that and adopt a total non-victim stance, we become virtually fearless and we choose to be happy no matter what. (See Psychology, Fear, Fearlessness or, to link directly, click title of this article above.)

Being a victim is indeed the source for "no power", as discussed in the Life Management, Power In Life section, AND it is the source for much fear (go to Psychology, Beliefs/Thoughts, VICTIMHOOD).

When we stop exaggerating the threats, which we do as if we were still a small child, and when we choose to be a total non-victim, we become virtually fearless and produce happiness NO MATTER WHAT.

It is possible, though you do not yet see it. But that is the purpose of this whole exercise to have you read this, practice the tools, and then to create that happiness you so greatly deserve.

Yours toward happiness,

Keith
