WHAT IS A PROACTIVE, ”RESULTS LEARNER”? THIS WILL MAKE A SUPER DIFFERENCE IN YOUR LIFE!

WHAT IS A PROACTIVE, ”RESULTS LEARNER”?

This is an excerpt from Smart, Directed, Effective, Proactive  Learning - Using "Results Learning" To Create The Life You Love, which is essentially a 50 page “course” to master learning for the greatest boost in your life!

When you are ready to tackle that, do so.  Meanwhile, as a proactive learner (if you decide to be one), you should scan that piece, potentially getting a few things you can easily include in your life right now, in order to “up” your learning a few levels.

___________________________________________________________

The Proactive Learner is one who makes sure he does what it takes to completely learn what is needed AND to implement it for RESULTS!  He will initiate and drive the process forward, regardless of whether or not his resources/coaches provide all of what is needed.  (He is proactive, not at all passive, and is self-determined.)

If the information he is learning does not provide a clear path or there is something missing, he proactively finds what is needed and/or he sets up his own learning plan/success-path to follow to assure that he gets where he wants to go!!!!

He/she determines where all the needs for learning are, prioritizes them, and sets up the plan that will work to close the gaps. (He does not depend on, nor blame, anyone else to provide the answers and/or motivation for him.)

As a result, he is massively more productive than the usual “passive, maybe I’ll learn something” reader (or seminar attendee), where things go into the head and right through it with little retained and almost always no results.  He does not read non-fiction books or articles for “entertainment”, but reads them for value derived from them!

You can “jump” to a level closer to how a results learner performs, simply by using this form to guide you:  The Learning Plan Form.  You will gradually learn better and better how to do this - and it will massively improve your life

Implementation Checklist And Summary Of The Code Of The Extraordinary Mind

A great book.

I wrote this as a challenge to the attendees of The Mindvalley University, who have likely read it.

But even a stranger to it should be able to "get" some understanding around it and to benefit from the many links in these vital parts of life.

Regulate Your Mind And Rewire Your Brain, Effectively

An interesting podcast with a scientist on doing what works to Regulate Your Mind And Rewire Your Brain.  I've done a "transcript" with some comments and links that could be useful.

There are some strategies/tactics that you can use to effectively and simply regulate your neurochemicals for the better and to take advantage of our brain's neuroplasticity ability.

There is value here, so click the link to the piece.

Even a Master will cycle...

This is a post from a person I would consider to be a relative master of life compared to most people, but our humanness, even for a master, will sometimes “take over”.  Our lower (survival) brain will temporarily be running the show.

So, if you are on your way to mastery, be assured that it is normal to cycle down at times, and know that that does not mean you have failed but that there is something more to learn - but your acquired wisdom and expansion of your mind power will not be diminished.  “ Man's mind, once stretched by a new idea, never regains its original dimensions.”

THE SPEED READING AND LEARNING PROCESS IMPROVED FOR RESULTS

To a student of life:

THE SPEED READING AND LEARNING PROCESS IMPROVED FOR RESULTS

You are about to take a speed reading program and a super learning program to sharpen your ability to process “text” learning.  I’ve taken those and they are missing some things that you might want to supplement them with:

Productive Reading - Apply these or you won’t be able to get the true value out of what you’re reading!

Smart, Directed, Effective, Proactive Learning Book - Using “Results Learning” To Create The Life You Want! - A booklet that covers all that is needed to increase your effectiveness in learning and, more importantly, in getting results!

Why you don't progress as fast in life as you could: Poor learning practices

A piece provided on a Facebook page for a "learning event" about to happen:

YOU ARE ABOUT TO WASTE 90+% OF THE POTENTIAL LEARNING VALUE FROM THIS LEARNING CONFERENCE

You are about to embark on a 2-3 day journey of potential learning, with much of it wasted!

Because you don’t “complete” your learning process, you are likely to leave this potential learning experience and immediately go back to life, without fully applying this to change your life.  Thus your life will not change much and you’ll have to come back and learn this same stuff over and over - unless you follow the Results Learning Method below.

First, however, consider this:

What we are doing here is, besides having a pleasing experience is to:

Remove the negative views of yourself and your past life (the No Fault Truism)
Remove all fear and doubts of the future and live your life in your full power. (Fearlessness)

If you do not learn effectively, you will never arrive there.

To learn effectively, you must follow these principles of learning and adopt the best method of learning, period.

1. Take good enough notes to use later.  (Leave a page for the table of contents and then number all subsequent pages as you would a book, starting each new chapter on a new page.)

2. Set aside time, now, for  after the seminar to follow up on all notes, ideas, intentions.

3. Study it UNTIL it is sufficiently completed (you are able to and/or produce the desired results from it).

Heed the above...then...

Read the attached piece completely,  until you are capable of doing it all and reap the results:
“Smart, Directed, Effective, Proactive Learning Book - Using “Results Learning” To Create The Life You Want!”

My best wishes for attaining great life power from sticking to this!

A worthwhile happiness article - and how to build these into your life...finally!

We are in the habit of reading articles or books (or attending seminars) without even doing anything about them.  But anyone who has mastered life knows that that is fruitless, a waste of life, even at some level of insanity.

Sanity would say that what you do should be to gain results/benefits.  If there are no results/benefits, except a momentary good feeling, then it is crazy to waste energy on it.   After all you could apply that same energy to getting a beneficial result for yourself, and create a whole new level of living your life.

If you are committed to mastering life, then you'll read the article and the followup piece about actually harvesting it for great personal benefit/results.  Otherwise, just read the article and go on with your life....

Here is the excellently done article, with my comments inserted, 17 Surprising Ways to Cultivate Happiness as a Habit.

And, after reading the article, see how it is used in:

If you are thinking of joining (no cost) The Future Masters Of Life group, you would definitely, for sure, follow through with the full implementation sequence!

Massive learning progress rapidly via intense focus periods

We never seem to get around to really mastering a topic of vital importance if we attempt to do it in 20 minutes a day...

We need to have periods of intense focus, immersion, concentration on the one subject for a Intense Immersion Learning and progress in a relatively short period.

For instance, we would identify a topic, find some readings/books that would give us study material, and then set aside, say, a weekend.  Or we could decide to spend 10 hours a week on it for a month or three months.

This way we

1.  Get it done, whereas we’d unlikely complete what is necessary.

2.  Get it done and get the results quickly - which is not only empowering, in the verifiable-by-results sense, but also very inspiring.

This also works especially well when working on difficult challenges.

For instance, one might, instead of being depressed and hopeless about it, focus for a weekend, plus perhaps some 10-hour weeks, on formulating strategies and a plan for getting/changing a job.

Or on repairing a relationship (which requires reading at least three books on relationships, or some other more than surface learning).

Anything that you want to master sooner rather than later (or never).

Of course, you will always use the one hour or more daily focus on the One Thing that will make the most difference in your life or business or whatever.

Also, read this for the core understanding and to use it in your life:  Go Deep And Complete - For Living The Greatest Life.

How To Smartly, And Unsmartly, Use A Blog

On my blog, I have a permanent reference in the side bar called HOW TO SMARTLY USE A BLOG - AND HOW NOT TO USE A BLOG "UNSMARTLY".

I recommend that you take any indepth post on a blog or Facebook page that has future value and save it and tickle it for followup if there is something of value that you can mine to make a better future!  (And, as part of becoming a master of life, you might want to consider some of the (no charge) 2500+ written pieces on my site.)

Excellent way to learn more about life, much quicker..

James Clear is an excellent writer and blogger, worth following.

And reading book summaries, if you’re doing them for the intent of learning and getting results, is an excellent way to both broaden your knowledge AND to choose whether to go deeper.  If you read a book or a summary of a book and then you don’t go out and implement it, you have barely succeeded compared to the potential of what you could do with your life.

See: Book summaries - three sentences, then notes on these excellent books.

A teacher in Brazil redefines education, using the Khan Academy

If we think hard and long, we can come up with no cost solutions to current dilemmas, such as this teacher showed in transforming the education at her school, with great results.

Here’s the story...

Listening to podcasts is not true, effective learning!

Yes, if you are listening to good podcasts instead of just driving or walking without any good input, you will gain some generalized impressions that are positive.

But do not fool yourself, or substitute for the real thing, that listening to podcast is true learning.

Unless a person takes notes, highlights key points, writes out what he/she understands (so the he/she formulates and organizes his/her thinking to the level of understanding) and then lays out a program to achieve the results in the nonfiction book/podcast, we are fooling ourselves - which means we are not achieving the benefits (results) we want from our efforts (listening, reading).

How intelligent and life forwarding is it to not completely (to the point it is worth the effort) harvest our efforts to get the results?   Would you run only 20 yards of a 100 yard dash and then quit?

One of the very most valuable things you can do is learn how to learn and then structure, in writing for easy access, what you will do to get the results that are the purpose.

Again, SMART, DIRECTED, EFFECTIVE, PROACTIVE LEARNING BOOKLET. At least follow the small box at the first of the book!
—————
Tim Ferriss does podcasts but went ahead and made transcripts of them, so that people can actually harvest them more (or simply save time by doing focused reading and thinking instead of “in one ear and out the other”.
Shane Parrish is excellent at podcasts, though you have to join his community to get the transcripts - with invaluable information to mine and harvest!

I Am Growing And Notice So Much Happening In The Moment...

(In email, click on the post title in order to read the entire post.)

This is from “Tim”, growing in his awareness of who he is and how to apply his power to life.
It includes my comments, including a dissertation Everything Else Is Derivative Of Seeking Safety and also a piece on “Over Time Most Issues And Problems Will Disappear”, if you are in the life learning mode!

It includes decisions on what he will do, as he looks at and understands “who I really am” plus his digesting of The 7 Habits Of Highly Effective People

I Am Growing And Notice So Much Happening In The Moment

“Tim” is also showing those who want a better life how to proactively learn and, then, create the life one wants as one progresses up the learning curve of life...but much, much faster than others....  He is fitting as much time at this as possible into his life, and is setting a great example for others...

Have you completed what you say you learned?

(In email, click on the post title in order to read the entire post.)

If you agree that the purpose of learning is to reap the benefits/results you want from it, then why do you (me, we) tend to forget to do the implementation and installation completion process????

I suggest that you consider this piece:  Authentic, Effective Learning - Real Learning To Get What You Really Want In Life.

Note that there are things that show up to prove that you’ve been doing the completing - and that those are things that will benefit you over and over and over in life.

Two of these are

1.  Finishing summaries for reference, including checklists to refer to when needed! To get the idea of this see Checklists For Running Your Life.
2.  Set up a re-minder system, where you tickle on your calendar all the follow up that you will do, including such things as annual tickles to review and upgrade (if necessary) your knowledge and revise your way of proceeding (your system).

I wonder, have those who attended Mindvalley University finished their completion/harvesting process?

The simple learning process diagram: (Duh!)

Gather info, taking notes —> Reviewing notes —> Deciding what to do —> Harvest —> Results

Notice that we often forget to do the vital link of “harvesting”, so that all we end up with is the gathering of bits of data and a bunch of time spent that didn’t really deliver value...

Tying it all together in life, habits, understanding emotions and...

(In email, click on the post title in order to read the entire post.)
Keith,

So I am really into the 7 habits book, and a 7 habits workbook that I purchased. And themes have come together -  Stimulus and response, what's in between is choice - I add a deep breath to it for a power pause.

I am also reading 'Sapiens' and it ties in that our DNA has not shifted in a long, long time. That our brains have sped up our evolutionary journey compared to other animals. Oh, and humans basically kill everything. That our species is responsible for mass extinction of giant mammals that once roamed the earth for millions of years, and that's pre-industrial revolution.

Anyways, I will continue to reread the Essentialism Summary everyday. I am a fan of it. Thanks for sharing it. The career reinvention read helps put things into perspective. Change feels overwhelming, but to map it out and have a game plan relieves anxiety.

I'll work out a thorough plan like an essay and I'll send it out.

I hope all is well.
[You, the blog reader, most likely should re-read the 7 Habits Of Highly Effective People book!  And, this time, implement it fully into your life.   My book also leads you to some things to implement into your life to make it work much, much better:  Life Value Productivity, link to it from this page.]

Learn now, pay only a % of income for two years (computer...)

Lambda School teaches you now, all online, without tuition now, and then, only if you make 50K+/year, 17% of your income for two years.

This is the school of the future, I believe, where we base everything on results (and creating the benefits sufficient to be able to pay from a part of the gain!).

I would hope to do the same for The Life Management Alliance, where people, later, “pay” other people’s tuition, but only after they know they have made their lives so much better that they can afford, and want to, “pay if forward.”

If this strikes your interest, either directly or just conceptually, take a look at Lambda School.

Spending a month in Estonia??? Mindvalley University

This is an interesting and novel idea, where whole families spend a month in learning life, success, business, spirituality, psychology, health, energy, etc.   See the founder’s video of comments:  Video.

I’ll be there...
